BLUE CRANE FUNERALS has a strong commitment to providing excellent service to all of our customers and visitors of this website, including respecting concerns about privacy.  BLUE CRANE FUNERALS will explicitly ask when  information that personally identifies you or allows us to contact you are required.  Generally this information is requested when making reservations: and not to impersonate or misrepresent any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation with anyone or anything.

The purposes for which BLUE CRANE FUNERALS will use your information are as follows:

  • To transact with you regarding reservations,
  • To inform you of new features, services, special offers and products,
  • To enable us to process, validate and verify reservation and requests for services and for the purpose for which you specifically provide the information,
  • To improve your experience on our website

 

BLUE CRANE FUNERALS shall be entitled to disclose personal information if required to do so:

  • to comply with applicable law or with legal process served on BLUE CRANE FUNERALS,
  • to protect and defend the rights or property of BLUE CRANE FUNERALS and

WHILST BLUE CRANE FUNERALS IS OF INTENT TO TAKE REASONABLE MEASURES TO KEEP PERSONAL INFORMATION CONFIDETNTIAL, IT SHALL HOWEVER NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY LOSS OR DAMAGE, HOWSOEVER ARISING, SUFFERED AS A RESULT OF THE DISCLOSURE OF SUCH INFORMATION.

 

BLUE CRANE FUNERALS WILL:

  • treat personal information as strictly confidential.
  • take appropriate technical and organisational measures to ensure that  personal information is kept secure and is protected against unauthorised or unlawful processing,  accidental loss, destruction or damage,  alteration,  disclosure or access.
  • Promptly notify you if we become aware of any unauthorised use, disclosure or processing of your personal information
  • Provide you with reasonable evidence of our compliance with our obligations under this policy on reasonable request, and
  • Upon you request, promptly return or destroy any and all of your personal information in our possession or control.

 

Personal information shall not be retained longer than the period for which it was originally needed, unless required by law to do so, or consent is given to retain such information for a longer period.

 

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

 

Cancellation policy

BLUE CRANE FUNERALS requires full payment, to confirm the reservation for the funeral service, 48 hours prior to the service being held.  A cancellation fee may be imposed in the event of cancellation before the date of reservation for the funeral service to be rendered.  The fee will depend on the nature of the reservation, the length of notice of cancellation before reservation, the reasonable potential to find alternative clients for the reservation and the reason for cancellation.  No refunds on deposits in the event of cancellation for already ordered/made Special-Order Goods.

 

Delivery

Notwithstanding anything to the contrary, BLUE CRANE FUNERALS obligation to provide the funeral services on the time and date as discussed shall in all cases be subject to the following:

(a) Whilst delivery times are given in good faith and BLUE CRANE FUNERALS will use every endeavour to comply therewith, no responsibility can be accepted for any loss or damage incurred by the Client on account of any delay in delivery arising out of any circumstances beyond BLUE CRANE FUNERALS control, which circumstances will include, but in no way limited to:

  • Any delays in the supply of merchandise necessary for the funeral service by suppliers which cannot be directly or indirectly attributed to them,
  • The client not providing BLUE CRANE FUNERALS with necessary information alternatively in order to determine the specifications of the funeral services to be undertaken,
  • The client changing specifications prior to the date when the funeral services will be held.  In the event of the client changing the specifications, the Business’s involved reserve the right to requite, and
  • If the contract price for the services have not been paid in full.

 

BLUE CRANE FUNERALS will communicate unavoidable delay in provision of the service.

 

Indemnity

Although we at BLUE CRANE FUNERALS endeavour to supply funeral services of exceptional quality, we cannot be held liable in the instance where the services undertaken is not according to the specifications or specific need, due to any circumstances without reasonable control.

These circumstances will include, but it is no way limited to the following:

  • The client or his/her/its employees not providing adequate information necessary in order to ensure that the funeral service supplied meets its specific requirements.  The business reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the Client’s original requirements change or upon inspection by us.

 

Printing Works

All printing works pertaining to funerals including but not limited to the program for the funeral: appreciations for support during the time of illness and mourning as well as testimonials with regard to the deceased’s needs to be approved by the deceased’s immediate family at least 24 hours before the date of the funeral service.

Due to the aforementioned the Business accepts no liability pertaining to any errors and/or omissions if the print and art work presented and approved by the deceased’s immediate family are incorrect.

 

Return of Merchandise

Please choose carefully.  BLUE CRANE FUNERALS do not give refunds with regards to caskets and other merchandise for the funeral ordered from BLUE CRANE FUNERALS.  An exchange or repair, where the casket or other merchandise for the funeral is proven as defective, different from the sample shown to the client, or do not perform may be considered.  A casket or other merchandise for a funeral may not be returned or exchanged if the product has been altered or cannot be returned due to public health reasons.  A handling fee may be charged if a return is accepted by management.
